The QPS Forensic Crash Unit has appealed for witnesses to come forward after a woman died more than a month after she suffered serious injuries in a single-vehicle crash.
At about 10.30am on January 3 the 63-year-old woman crashed into a pole on Lanefield Road at Rosewood.
She was the sole occupant of the vehicle and suffered serious injuries to her chest, abdomen, pelvis and leg and was flown to Princess Alexandra Hospital in a critical condition.
At the time a Queensland Ambulance spokeswomen reported the women was “significantly entrapped” in the vehicle and its roof had to be removed in order for the women to be freed.
The crash resulted in about 1714 homes and businesses losing power while linesmen made the scene safe.
The Greenbank woman was flown to the Princess Alexandra Hospital but despite her doctors’ best efforts, she passed away on Saturday.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the crash, and appealing for any witnesses or anyone with dashcam vision to come forward.
