Toowoomba tradesman’s rowdy night out ends in meth drug bust

When a loaded tradesman was booted from a pub, his night out in the Toowoomba CBD quickly went from bad to worse when he failed to follow police directions.

A few too many drinks at a Toowoomba CBD bar proved to be an expensive night out for a rowdy tradesman who came to the attention of police, along with his drug stash.

The Toowoomba Magistrates Court heard on January 30, police were called to an incident on Ruthven St involving an intoxicated man - Levi Jaiden Hall.

The court heard Hall had just been kicked out of a bar, and police directed him to leave the area.

However soon after, officers found him sitting on a bench in the CBD.

Police then arrest Hall for failing to move on, and found a small clip-seal bag in his sock which contained one gram of meth.

Duty lawyer Jag MacDonald said after the 25-year-old left school in Yeae 11 he began working at a winery, however he was now a full time painter and plasterer.

“He apologises to the court for his behaviour,” he said.

Magistrate Louise Shephard said there were no drug offences on Hall’s criminal history.

She fined Hall $500 and recorded a conviction.
