Charges against a Toowoomba teenager accused of driving off in a stolen car from a service station with the business owner clinging to the vehicle have been adjourned again.

Brayden Lawrence Gillmeister, 19, and an associate stand accused of driving a stolen vehicle into a Gowrie Junction service station on April 10 and attempting to drive off without paying for fuel.

However, business owner Clint Weber intervened by standing in front of the vehicle but the pair had allegedly driven forward anyway, for a brief time carrying Mr Weber with them.

Gillmeister has been held in custody since his arrest shortly after the Gowrie Junction incident and he was not required to be in Toowoomba Magistrates Court on Friday when his matters were mentioned.

He has not as yet been required to enter any pleas to the charges which include three counts of unlawful use of motor vehicle, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, attempted enter dwelling and armed robbery.

His solicitor Nikola Prince, of Legal Aid Queensland’s Toowoomba office, told the court at the teenager’s last court appearance that she was sending a submission to police and awaited their response.

Magistrate Kay Philipson therefore remanded Gillmeister in custody and adjourned all matters for mention back in the same court next month.
