Investigations are continuing into a brawl involving multiple people in Toowoomba’s southern suburbs.
A Queensland Police spokeswoman said officers were called to a Charnley Street address in Kearneys Spring about 6.45pm on Sunday where they found two groups of people fighting.
Police broke up the disturbance before locating a 14-year-old girl who had been struck by a car.
She suffered non-life threatening leg and chest injuries, with paramedics arriving on the scene to take four people to Toowoomba Hospital.
A second person, believed to be in their 20s, sustained a facial injury while two other people suffered injuries to their head, body and legs.
One neighbour recalled hearing a loud ‘thud’ out on the street when she decided to investigate.
“I looked out my window and there was a car parked in front of the driveway with another car beside it,” she said.
“There was a lot of yelling then both cars took off.”
“After that I could see a young girl sitting near the house crying with an older man talking very sternly to her.”
“There were other young men involved, but the older man chased them away.”
Officers from the Toowoomba Child Protection Investigation Unit are looking into the matter.
Anyone with information about the disturbance, including CCTV or dashcam footage, should phone Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
