Police have charged a Toowoomba woman with a number of concerning charges following an alleged incident involving a “mentally impaired person”.
Leanne Maree Rogers, 60, was charged with indecently dealing with a person with an impairment of the mind, two counts of committing an indecent act in place with the intent to insult or offend a person, and the wilful, unlawful, and indecent exposure of a person with an impairment of the mind.
Ms Rogers’ charges were briefly mentioned before the Toowoomba Magistrates Court on Tuesday, November 5, after being charged with four offences in late 2024.
Solicitor Chelsea Saldumbide told the court Ms Rogers was in the process of applying for legal aid funding.
“There are some further financials that legal aid required,” she said.
“I’m seeking an adjournment of three weeks to allow for that application to be processed following Ms Rogers supplying her bank statement.”
The case was adjourned to November 26 to be mentioned before the Toowoomba Magistrates Court.
Ms Rogers’ bail was enlarged.
