Queensland and NSW police are searching for a 29-year-old man who they say rammed to police vehicles overnight.

Goondiwindi police, supported by officers from the Toowoomba Tactical Crime Squad, are searching for a man who rammed two vehicles during a cross-border pursuit.

A 29-year-old New South Wales man was observed behind the wheel of a Mazda 323 on Marshall Street about 11pm on Saturday, Goondiwindi Senior-Sergeant Richard McIntosh said.

Toowoomba Tactical Crime Squad officers – in town to help Goondiwindi police with a spate of burglaries – moved to intercept the vehicle.

“The vehicle evaded police and a short time later was located by NSW police, in NSW,” Sergeant McIntosh said.

The driver rammed a NSW police vehicle before turning around and crossing back into Queensland.

Sergeant McIntosh said the vehicle then rammed a Queensland Police Service vehicle.

It was dumped in Michaels Drive about 12.40am on Monday.

Sergeant McIntosh said the driver was the registered owner of the vehicle.

“He has not been arrested, yet.”

Anyone with information about the man’s location should phone Policelink on 131 000 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 000 333.
