Police respond in force to domestic violence incident near Millmerran

Police are responding in force to an ongoing domestic violence incident at a Darling Downs property southwest of Millmerran.

A large number of police resources were deployed to a domestic violence incident at a farm on the Darling Downs southwest of Millmerran.

A Queensland Police spokesman said officers arrived at the private property on Millwood Road at 11.29am, on Saturday, February 24, and remained on scene.

He said there was no threat to the safety of the community, and initial reports suggested no one was injured.

A Queensland Ambulance spokeswoman said paramedics were on standby at the scene from 11.37am to 2.08pm.

She said an uninjured female was assessed by paramedics.

A Queensland Fire and Emergency spokeswoman said initially one crew was called to assist officers, however they were quickly turned around as police had the incident under control.

Investigations are continuing and police presence is expected to remain in the area throughout the night.
