Police are appealing for the public to come forward with information and CCTV vision after three bottle shops were targeted in organised robberies.

They are particularly interested in speaking with anyone who has home CCTV near the intersection of Geddes and James Streets in South Toowoomba from about 7-8pm on Monday.

Toowoomba Detective Senior Sergeant Paul McCusker said three people entered the Dan Murphy’s bottle shop on James Street about 7.20pm Monday.

“Their faces were covered with items of clothing to disguise their identity,” he said.

One of the offenders produced a knife and threatened a cashier, demanding they hand over money.

Police are investigating an armed robbery at Dan Murphy's in East Toowoomba, that occurred about 7.20pm on May 8.

The second offender cleared a quantity of alcohol from the shelves while the third offender stood by the door and acted as a lookout.

The trio left with alcohol and money and were last seen running through the car park and then north along Geddes Street.

Sgt McCusker said the offenders may have fled in a vehicle that was parked in the Geddes Street area.

“We ask that any person who may have seen the three offenders or a vehicle they may have been in the area at the time to come forward,” he said.

Police believe the robbery may be linked to two similar robberies that occurred on Saturday night, at the BWS bottle shop in Wilsonton and the Exchange Hotel on Anzac Ave where the offender presented a knife and demanded that the cashiers hand over money.

Anyone with information about the offences should phone Policelink on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
