Police investigate fatal crash in South Toowoomba

It is understood a man who was leaving a popular hotel in a regional Queensland city has been struck by a car, and died at the scene.

A man has died after he was hit by a vehicle at the intersection of James and Kitchener Street in the early hours of Friday morning.

Emergency Services were called the incident about 2am after reports an elderly man had been hit by a car.

It is understood he had left the Federal Hotel just a few minutes prior to the crash.

They assessed the man’s critical injuries but sadly he died at the scene.

The Queensland Police Service Forensic Crash Unit will investigate.
