Police investigate after thieves steal three vehicles, torch two

Video posted on social media shows thieves speeding at more than 160km/h and gloating about stealing three vehicles in one night only a few hours before setting fire to them.

Police are searching for a group of teens that stole three luxury cars at the weekend and bragged about their callous actions on social media.

On Sunday police received a report that a white Audi (QLD rego 599BA4) was stolen from a Glenvale home in the early hours of the morning.

It is understood the offender rammed the victim’s carport during a failed attempt at stealing a second vehicle, a Mitsubishi Outlander, from the home.

Police received another report that a blue BMW and a black Land Rover (QLD Rego) 663DP6 were stolen from a Rosenthal Heights home about the same time.

Both the Audi and Land Rover were later found burnt out on Kildonan Rd, Yelarbon, just before 7.30am that morning.

The BMW was found abandoned at Sims Court, Rockville, just before 7:20pm that night.

They also line up the three cars and pan the camera past their licence plates with a video caption “three rigs in one night”.

Investigations into the offences are ongoing and police are yet to make any arrests.
