Police arrest two teens after spiking stolen car tires in Mort Street
An alleged teen car thief was taken to hospital for treatment. Police say a group of offenders stole a Subaru Forester before police were forced to spike its tyres in the CBD.

A teenage boy has been treated in hospital for a wrist injury after he crashed a stolen Subaru Forester in Mort Street overnight.
Toowoomba Detective Senior Sergeant Paul McCusker the wagon was stolen by an offender who entered the rear door of a Toowoomba home that was open and unlocked sometime between 6.30-7.45pm on Tuesday.
“They stole a handbag containing keys for Forester,” he said.
The vehicle was observed driving dangerously in the CBD about 12.30am on Wednesday.
Police laid spike traps on Mort Street and deflated the Forester’s tire before arresting the two boys.
A 17-year-old boy was taken to the Toowoomba Hospital where he was treated for a minor wrist injury.
He was later charged with dangerous operation of a vehicle, unlawful use of vehicle, possessing a knife in a public place and four drug offences.
A 16-year-old boy was charged with unlawful use of a vehicle, fraud, burglary and entering a dwelling with intent.
Both will be brought before Toowoomba Children’s Court today.
