A man was rushed to hospital with a stab wound after his partner rushed him with a knife.

A woman has been charged after she stabbed her partner in the leg.

Police are investigating after a man was stabbed in the leg after an argument with his partner got out of hand.

A Queensland Police Service spokesman said officers were called to a home in Kingaroy about 5.30pm on Saturday after reports of a disturbance.

They alleged a 30-year-old woman rushed her partner with a knife and stabbed him in the thigh.

The woman has been charged with one count of unlawful wounding.

She was held in custody through the weekend to face the Kingaroy Magistrates Court today.
