Toowoomba Magistrate Court has been told a young tradesman was caught drug driving on consecutive days, just one month after he lost his licence for the very same offence.

On February 1, Mason Phillip Bloom was fined $350 and disqualified from driving for three months after he pleaded guilty to driving with methylamphetamine in his system.

No conviction was recorded.

However, that did not stop the 19-year-old from getting behind the wheel.

Police prosecutor Cameron Francis said Bloom was intercepted again on March 14.

Mr Francis said a roadside drug test came back positive to meth, and he was also in possession of the same drug, however he told officers it belonged to a mate.

The next day, Mr Francis said police again intercepted Bloom and he again returned a positive roadside reading for meth.

Solicitor Brad Skuse said the boilermaker had just started his own business and employed someone, and that person would be able to drive him around for work.

He said Bloom had been driving for work when he was pulled over at 1.45pm on March 14.

At Toowoomba Magistrates Court on May 19, Bloom pleaded guilty to possessing meth, drug driving, and driving while unregistered.

Magistrate Louise Shephard fined Bloom $1200 and suspended his license for two years.

No conviction was recorded.
