Toowoomba detectives have charged two boys over the Pascoes Jewellers smash and grab and a violent attempted robbery.

They allege the Toowoomba boys, aged 15 and 16, forced entry to the Toowoomba Plaza shopping centre about 3.30am on Monday before breaking the Pascoe Jewellers windows.

They proceeded to load dozens of rings, necklaces and jewellery into a bin before fleeing.

The boys are also alleged to have broken into Woolworth supermarket at the Range Shopping Centre where they stole several tills.

At about 4.45am the boys, armed with a crowbar and a hammer, forced their way into a Kearneys Spring home.

Police will allege they threatened the occupant and demanded keys to their vehicle but fled empty-handed, dropping an item at the scene that linked them to the Pascoe Jewellers break in.
