A 37-YEAR-OLD Sydney man charged in relation to what police claim was an $11m cannabis crop growing near Clifton has had his case adjourned in Toowoomba Magistrates Court.

Manh Hung Tran has been held in custody since his arrest in December, 2021, and was not required to be in court for the mention of his charges on Tuesday.

However, he was represented by a Sydney-based solicitor who appeared by phone.

Tran has not been required as yet to enter pleas to nine charges which include trafficking, producing, possessing and supplying a dangerous drug.

Police claim they found 2015 cannabis plants growing in two green houses outside Clifton as well as more than 150kg of cannabis leaf.

Acting Magistrate Roger Stark remanded Tran in custody and adjourned the case for mention back in the same court in July.
