Man hospitalised after crashing motorbike on rural road at Bell

A young man has suffered serious injuries in a motorbike crash near the Bunya Highway.

Paramedics have transported a young man to Dalby Hospital after he suffered collarbone and ankle injuries in a motorbike crash at Bell.

The man, aged in his 20s, crashed near the intersection of the Bunya Highway and Macalister-Bell Road, shortly before 8am on Tuesday.

Police provided first aid while they waited for Queensland Ambulance Service paramedics to arrive.

The man was stabilised at the scene and transported by road to hospital for further treatment.

The crash comes after what was a dangerous 2023 on our roads for bike crashes with motorcyclists accounting for about a third of all traffic fatalities.

Meanwhile 261 riders and pillion passengers were hospitalised with serious injuries.
