Police prosecutor Cameron Francis said police then stopped the 26-year-old, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, on Margaret Street.

Saunders told police she had been at Society Nightlife nightclub the previous night and had stayed the night at her sister’s before deciding to drive to her mother’s house.

After a positive roadside breath test, Saunders was taken to Toowoomba Police Station where she blew 0.135.

Magistrate Howard Osborne convicted Saunders, who was self-represented, and fined her $600. She was also disqualified from holding a driver’s licence for three months.
