A 26-year-old Toowoomba man charged with almost 250 drug related matters has been remanded in custody.
Hamish Charles Hoare was arrested on Friday and was not required to appear in Toowoomba Magistrates Court on Saturday and remained in the watch house.
Duty lawyer Brad Skuse, of Skuse Graham Lawyers, told the court his client would not be applying for bail at this stage.
Mr Hoare had been on bail since June but a police raid of his home on Friday allegedly found meth and cannabis leading to five charges.
However, it was when police checked his phone that a series of what police claim to be drug dealing messages were found leading to a charge of trafficking in dangerous drugs and 240 charges of supplying a dangerous drug.
Mr Hoare has not as yet been required to enter any pleas to the charges and no particulars of the police allegations have as yet been aired in court.
Mr Skuse asked that the fresh charges be adjourned to link up with his other matters in the same court on September 7.
Magistrate Clare Kelly directed that the police brief of evidence be disclosed to the defence by September 1 and adjourned all matters for mention back in Toowoomba Magistrates Court on September 7.
Mr Hoare was remanded in custody.
