Graham Hamilton Bradford, 71, charged with multiple child sex matters provides court update

A 71-year-old charged with multiple child sex related matters, including administering a drug for sexual act, has been returned to court. Here’s an update:

A Toowoomba court has been provided with an update of the police case against a 71-year-old man charged with more than 20 child sex matters.

Graham Hamilton Bradford remained on bail and in regular contact with his legal team and was not required to be in Toowoomba Magistrates Court on Wednesday when his matters were mentioned, MacDonald Law solicitor Ryan McCullough said.

Mr Bradford is charged with some 27 matters including 11 counts of indecent treatment of a child under 16, seven counts of indecent treatment of child under 16 (permit), three of administering a drug for the purpose of a sexual act, two of attempted unlawful anal intercourse, and one each of unlawful carnal knowledge, indecent treatment of a child under 16 (expose), indecent treatment of a child under 16 (indecent film), and indecent treatment of a child under 16 (take photograph).

He has not as yet been required to enter any pleas to the charges and no specific details of the allegations have been aired in open court.

Mr McCullough said his office had received the police brief of evidence which counsel was reviewing and a further conference with their client would be required and asked for a further adjournment.

Magistrate Clare Kelly therefore remanded Mr Bradford on bail and adjourned all matters for mention back in the same court on February 14.
