A man has died after their vehicle crashed into a tree at Geham, north of Toowoomba.

According to initial reports, the 77-year-old Darling Downs man lost control of his vehicle on a dirt section of Connelly Rd and hit a tree, shortly after 10.15am on Monday.

Multiple fire, police and paramedics crews were called to the scene and they arrived to find the man trapped in the vehicle, with life-threatening injuries.

Queensland Fire Department crews went to action with cutting gear to free the man.

While emergency services started conducting CPR, there was little they could do to save the man’s life and he died at the scene.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating and anyone with information is urged to contact police.

In an unrelated crash earlier in the day a man in his 60s suffered an isolated arm injury following a truck rollover on Clifton Road and Byculla Road at 8.46am.

Paramedics transported one patient in a stable condition to St Vincent’s Hospital, Toowoomba.
