Emergency services respond to separate incidents

The occupants of a car destroyed by fire have escaped unharmed, while a pair of men involved in a truck crash nearby have been transported to hospital.

Two men have been transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital after a truck and car collided on the Cunningham Highway at Yamanto.

Emergency services were called to the crash about 6.20am on Friday.

They treated a man aged in his 50s who had suffered potentially life-threatening chest injuries and a man aged in his 30s who had a serious head injury.

Both men were transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital.

A short time later emergency services were called to a vehicle fire at Ma Ma Creek.

A Queensland Fire Department spokesman said the car was engulfed in flames as the crews arrived and that all occupants were clear of the wreck and uninjured.

The fire was extinguished by 7.50am.
