One of two women charged after a man was allegedly doused and set alight outside a Toowoomba pub has been remanded in custody.

Courtney Lee Ramsey, 35, and Codie Leigh Bird, 31, initially appeared before Toowoomba Magistrates Court on Friday, September 15, charged with acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm arising from father of four Jordan Moore, 26, allegedly being set alight in the carpark of The Stock Hotel on Anzac Ave about 9.50pm, September 13.

While Ms Bird made no application for bail and was remanded in custody with her matter adjourned to November 10, Ms Ramsey was put over to Monday for a possible bail application.

However, her solicitor Joe McConnell, of McConnell Saldumbide Lawyers, appeared on her behalf on Monday telling the same court that his client’s parole was to be suspended and so there would be no application for bail at this stage.

Jordan Moore, 26, sustained serious burns to his face, neck and arms during an incident in a Harristown hotel carpark.

A badly burnt Mr Moore had gone into the pub seeking help and was soon rushed to Toowoomba Hospital before being flown to a Brisbane hospital with burns to his face, neck and arms.

His condition was last described by the hospital as serious but stable.

Mr McConnell on Monday asked that his client’s case be adjourned to link up with her co-accused’s.

Magistrate Kyna Morice therefore remanded Ms Ramsey in custody and adjourned her case for mention back in the same court on November 10.

Police investigating the incident were still seeking a man believed to have also been involved in the incident.

Anyone with information or footage of the incident is asked to call PoliceLink on 131 444 or Crimestoppers on 1800 333 000.
