Christopher Neale Roberts gained notoriety after pleading guilty to masturbating in public

The accused spent his 36th birthday in the watch house before appearing before Toowoomba Magistrates Court on a fresh charge of wilful exposure.

A serial public masturbator who has been caught in the act a number of times by Toowoomba’s CCTV cameras has allegedly been caught pulling the same stunt again.

Christopher Neale Roberts spent his 36th birthday on Thursday appearing before Toowoomba Magistrates Court via video link from the watch house after being charged with a fresh count of wilful exposure and breaching bail.

His solicitor Alysha Jacobsen, of Bouchier Khan Lawyers, told the court her client wished to plead guilty to the charges but he had other matters before the same court set for September 1 which he wanted to bring forward and have all dealt with at the same time.

However, when the court was told the September matters were not available, all matters were adjourned.

Roberts gained notoriety when he pleaded guilty before the same court in August last year to masturbating in public while having a stick inserted in his anus near Gold Park Sports Club, all of which was captured on CCTV camera.

The court heard he had been using meth at the time.

Handed six months parole for that, he was returned to court in Brisbane in November last year and was handed another six-month jail term for similar offending in which he involved garden tools and ornaments in his public sexual display.

Less than 24 hours after his release from prison on those offences, Roberts was captured on CCTV cameras over the car park of a private hospital in Goggs St, Toowoomba, looking straight into one of the cameras before removing his penis from his trousers and walking about the car park while masturbating.

He was handed another six month jail term, with parole eligibility after two months.

No details of his latest offending were aired in court on Thursday but all will be revealed when Roberts appears via video link for sentence before the same court on September 9.
