A Darling Heights man charged with attempted murder and arson of a house has had his case adjourned again in the Toowoomba Magistrates Court.

Christopher Mark Grosser suffered serious burns in the fire that gutted a house in Darling Heights just after midnight February 13 last year.

The 37-year-old was not required to attend the court on Wednesday where he was represented by his solicitor.

Grosser had initially been held in custody in hospital to where he was taken for treatment for his burns after being found by emergency services personnel near the burning home about 2am that day.

A 43-year-old woman found out the front of the Quinlan Court home was also taken to hospital with serious head and torso wounds.

She has been making a slow recovery, the court was told.

Grosser was charged during a bedside court hearing days after the fire with one count each of attempted murder and arson, as well as one count of possessing dangerous drugs and one count of possessing a schedule 1 drug in a quantity exceeding schedule 3 but less than schedule 4.

He has not as yet been required to enter pleas to the charges.

Due to the nature of the charges, the case would eventually have to be taken up to the higher court to be dealt with.

Grosser was remanded on bail with the case adjourned to March 16 for mention.
