Two men accused of carjacking a woman’s Toyota Camry from the driveway of a Rangeville home at the weekend have appeared before the Toowoomba Magistrates Court.

Brock Aiden Dornbusch, 19, of Oakey, and Sheldon William Brown, 20, remained in the watch house and were not required in court when their respective matters were mentioned separately on Wednesday.

Police claim a 28-year-old woman was reversing a blue Toyota Camry out of an address on Faith Street, Rangeville, just before 6am Saturday when she was confronted by two men who forced her out of the vehicle.

The men then allegedly drove off in that vehicle.

The woman suffered minor injuries during the incident.

Police further alleged the vehicle was used during a break and enter at a business on Commerce Drive, Browns Plains, on January 7, and on January 9, the car was involved in a single vehicle crash at Mort Street, Toowoomba, where the two occupants fled the scene.

Dornbusch has been charged with multiple offences including robbery with violence, unlawful use of a motor vehicle and six counts of disqualified driving.

Brown was charged with robbery with violence in company, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, three counts of stealing and other matters.

Neither accused was required to enter any pleas to their respective charges.

A 16-year-old boy, allegedly also involved, was being dealt with under the Youth Justice Act.

Solicitor Brad Skuse, of Skuse Graham Lawyers, for Dornbusch, told the court his client would not be applying for bail and asked that his matters be adjourned to another date.

Solicitor Callum Wood, of McConnell and Saldumbide Lawyers, for Brown, similarly said his client would not be applying for bail and asked for an adjournment.

Magistrate Patricia Kirkman-Scroope therefore remanded Dornbusch and Brown in custody and adjourned their respective cases for mention back in the same court on February 28.
