Brett John Seymour in Toowoomba court charged with four counts of assault occasioning bodily harm

The former Brisbane Broncos player has been charged with four counts of assault occasioning bodily harm. See what happened in court.

Former NRL star Brett John Seymour had assault and other charges mentioned in Toowoomba Magistrates Court on Wednesday.

The 33-year-old former Brisbane Broncos, Cronulla Sharks and New Zealand Warriors halfback was not required to be in court for the mention of his matters but was represented by solicitor Brad Skuse.

Mr Skuse said his client was on bail and in regular contact with his office.

He said he had held a conference with Mr Seymour but asked for an adjournment to take further instructions from him.

Mr Seymour has not as yet been called upon to enter any pleas to the charges which include four counts of assault occasioning bodily harm.

No details of the police allegations were aired in court.

Magistrate Kyna Morice remanded Mr Seymour on bail and adjourned his case for mention back in the same court on October 11.
