Aaron Sydney Green accused of stabbing man at service station

A 26-year-old accused of stabbing another man at a Newtown service station last month appeared in court again this week.

Police at the scene of an alleged stabbing incident at a Newtown 7/11 service station in Toowoomba.

A 26-year-old Toowoomba man accused of stabbing a man at a Bridge St service station has had his case adjourned in the city’s Magistrates Court.

Aaron Sydney Green was not required to be in court when his charge of unlawful wounding was mentioned on Tuesday.

His solicitor Chelsea Saldumbide, of McConnell and Saldumbide Criminal Lawyers, told the court she expected the case to go up to the higher court by way of ex officio indictment but would seek an adjournment while she took further instructions from her client.

Green has been remanded in custody since the alleged incident at the 7/11 Service Station on Bridge St, Newtown, about 10am, August 1.

It is believed the two men were known to each other and the other 26-year-old man was taken to hospital with a non-life threatening wound.

Green handed himself into police two days later.

He has not as yet been called upon to enter any plea to the charge.

Magistrate Graham Lee remanded Green in custody and adjourned the case for mention back in the same court on September 14.
