WE KNOW Apple has removed the headphone jack on its iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, with the ability to use wired headphones plugged into the Lightning port on the device.
To allow customers to use this feature, Apple will include wired headphones designed to fit the Lightning port and a 3.5mm headphones to Lightning adaptor in the box.
While a nice gesture, people were quick to point out they would not be able to charge their phone and listen to music with wired headphones at the same time.
Impressed by the iPhone 7 but also now I can't charge my phone & listen to music at the same time so what's the point

It is almost as if Apple expected this backlash because it worked with accessory maker Belkin to provide a solution to the problem.
Known as the Lightning Audio + Charge RockStar, the product is an adaptor allowing dual functionality to listen to Lightning audio and charge the device at the same time.
It works by plugging your Lightning charging cable and 3.5mm headphones with Lightning adaptor into the Lightning Audio + Charge RockStar, which is then plugged directly to the iPhone.
As the product has been certified by the developer to meet Apple specifications, it will likely be sold in the tech giant’s flagship stores.
And how much will the ability to listen to music while charging your phone cost?
So on top of paying upwards of $A1079 for an iPhone 7, the Belkin website has the product retailing for $59.99.
Of course, this is cheaper than forking out an extra $A229 for Apple’s wireless AirPods, which would also allow you to charge your phone and listen to music.
But, then again, you could always get third-party wireless headphones and embrace the future.
