FOOTBALL: The first thing on Gerard Alchin's wishlist tonight is "no injuries”.

Beyond that, the Willowburn president is hoping for a passionate game of football when the club's two Premier Men's teams square-off.

"I feel a bit sorry for the referee in this one,” Alchin said.

"I know it will be played in the right spirit, there's a real sense of camaraderie among all our senior teams, but both the teams really want this first win.

"There'll be a lot of passion out there.

"It will be a great game to watch.

"The only thing I don't want is any injuries.”

The two teams (coach Nic Rundle's Willowburn FC and Mark Robinson's Willowburn White) train together during the week but did "split” on Thursday to discuss some last-minute tactical points.

"I imagine it's going to a be a real clash of styles,” Alchin said.

"Some people might consider Mark's team to be slight under-dogs but I think they're quite evenly matched.

"I honestly believe both teams have top four potential

"The difference will be in how they play, it will be an interesting match.

"Nic's team is probably a little more defensively minded where as Mark's team likes to attack a little more.”
