Toowoomba Rugby League grand final is not just one of the Garden City’s biggest sporting events.
With Athletic Oval – now known as Toowoomba Sports Ground – often playing host to teams from Warwick, Goondiwindi, Gatton and Dalby grand final day is one of the region’s biggest social events as well.
The oval and grandstand is always packed to the rafters with passionate fans eager to catch a glimpse of the electrifying action down on the field.
In 2023 TRL officials opted to move the Hutchinson Builders A-grade grand final from a Sunday afternoon to a Saturday night kick-off and while there were concerns from some clubs the concept was an instant.
With the 2024 season wrapped up we’re looking back at the action and colour from the last decade of TRL grand final days.
