RACING : A guaranteed spot in next month’s Magic Millions Cup is up for grabs at Warwick Turf Club’s Boxing Day meeting.

Allman Park’s traditional Christmas meeting features seven races from 12.33pm headed by the Maydan Livestock/Freestone Feedlot Magic Millions Country Cup Qualifier over 1200 metres.

The $32,500 Open Handicap offers ballot free entry to the winner, if eligible, for the $250,000 MM Country Cup (1200m) at the Gold Coast on January 4.

Thursday’s meeting has attracted 114 nominations including 15 entries for the cup qualifier.

The list includes in-form Warwick five-year-old Colpo Di Tamburo for trainer Leo Roche. Colpo Di Tamburo is also due to line up in today’s Summer Provincial Series Final at Eagle Farm.

# FESTIVE season racing continues at Gatton’s Burgess Park on Friday, January 3 when Lockyer Valley Turf hosts a seven-race TAB card.

# BELL Race Club stages its annual five-event program on January 4.

# WARWICK Turf Club hosts an eight-race TAB card on January 11 with Clifford Park Saturday racing in recess during the month.
