Named: The female stars to watch in Toowoomba junior league

Rising stars: From under-13 to under-17, here are more than 40 female players with bright futures in Toowoomba Junior Rugby League. Find out who cracked the list from your club.

From Shenae Ciesiolka and Steph Hancock to Emily Bass and Jada Ferguson, Toowoomba, the Darling Downs and South Burnett has produced some exceptional female league players.

With the 2025 season underway here’s a look at the female players with bright futures.

Kita Brown

Dalby Devils U13

A good ball runner, with great agility. A natural born leader, Kita can always be counted on to work on hard on the field and keep spirits high off the field.

Ellie Towers

Dalby Devils U13

A great addition to the Dalby Devils U13 team this year. Her speed and agility always gets the team on the front foot.

Shae Sippel

Dalby Devils U13

Has emerged as a leader in the side. She’s a great team player, strong tackler and handy ball player.

Keira Ryan

Dalby Devils U15

A fierce up and coming forward. Keira is quick on her feet and a great rugby league talent. She runs hard and is a dominant player on the field. Keira will bring a lot to the team this year.

Piper Calvert

Dalby Devils U15

Talent, speed and stamina. Piper is handy in the forward pack, a hard ball carrier and has great defensive skills.

Millie Dun

Dalby Devils U15

New to the halves in the Devils U15 side and has really started to find her feet. Coming in from fullback, Millie is agile and quick on her feet. She has shown promise in reading the play in both attack and defence.

Rhianna Argus

Dalby Devils U15

New to the team and has proved to be a strong utility player with great footwork and speed to burn. There is definitely no shortage of natural talent here.

Alirah Tewes-Smallwood

South Burnett Eagles U13

Alirah is a standout due to her craftiness on the field, exceptional footwork, and powerful driving tackles. Her ability to outmanoeuvre opponents with a great step and deliver strong, impressive, inspirational tackles makes her a player to watch.

Mackenzie Ninness

South Burnett Eagles U13

Mackenzie is a star due to her solid defence, powerful running in the centres, and unwavering consistency. Her ability to play with great heart and determination makes her a great teammate on the field.

Ruby Beil

South Burnett Eagles U13

Ruby is quickly making a name for herself despite being new to the game. Her strong runs and impressive pace allow her to compete with the best, making her one to watch.

Destiny Fooks

South Burnett Eagles U15

Destiny never backs down from a challenge. She makes the big tackles when it matters most and is a key part of the Eagles defence. Playing on the wing, she’s dangerous in open space — if you give her an inch, she’ll find the try line.

South Burnett Eagles U15

Chloe plays a smart, strategic game at hooker and reads the play exceptionally well. She’s always looking for gaps in the opposition’s defence and takes advantage when it counts. In defence, she’s rock solid — rarely letting anyone break through.

Taylor Greeff

South Burnett Eagles U15

Taylor brings experience from playing in junior mixed teams, She’s a rock in the front row forwards — a tough defender known for making back-to-back tackles. Taylor is just as effective using her strength to break through the line.

Jorja Harch

South Burnett Eagles U15

Jorga may be new to the game, but she’s already making a big impact in the front row. She packs a punch in defence, is a strong runner, and never hesitates to step in wherever she’s needed. Her determination makes her a real asset to the team.

Emaleigh Huth

South Burnett Eagles U15

Emaleigh plays in the centres and brings a strong mix of speed and game awareness to every match. She’s a reliable and confident defender, also a strong communicator on the field, constantly talking to her teammates and helping to organise the defensive line.

Chloe Sippel

South Burnett Eagles U17

A tough and versatile player who brings strength and reliability across the park. Chloe’s adaptability means she can slot into any position when needed, always giving her all for the team.

Rachelle McKenzie

South Burnett Eagles U17

A strong presence in both attack and defence, Rachelle has a natural ability to read the game, consistently making smart plays and positioning herself perfectly to support her team.

Bella Barrett

South Burnett Eagles U17

A lightning-fast fullback with silky footwork that leaves defenders guessing. Bella’s agility and unpredictability make her a constant threat in open play.

Poppy Jeffs

South Burnett Eagles U17

A no-fuss, hardworking player who lets her actions do the talking. Poppy is a true workhorse, always willing to dig in and do the tough stuff on the field.

Hannah Mundey

Highfields Eagles U17

A strong front rower that always brings her best, hits hard and leaves an impact on games through her actions.

Ellie Pender

Highfields Eagles U17

Ellie loves a tackle and doesn’t care about the size of the player she faces. She can also be a hard one to catch when breaking away from the pack giving most a good chase.

Emmy-Lou Everingham

Highfields Eagles U17

Emmy brings plenty of laughs to the group with her classic country banter, while being an incredible player that will run all day if you asked her too.

Has been training hard for a breakout season. A tireless defender and can find the try line with the ball in her hands.

Hannah Kentish

Has been competing in the boys competition for the past couple of seasons. A very talented all-round player.

A small but mighty force on the field. She’s a hard runner who doesn’t back down from any challenge. Tarliah plays with incredible heart and determination, proving that size isn’t everything when you have the drive and passion she does.

Eva Kampf

Newtown Lions U13

A dynamic fullback with incredible speed and agility. Her quickness on the field makes her a real threat, as she zips around the opposition with ease. Eva’s energy and ability to read the game make her a standout player and a key asset to the team.

A strong runner with the ball and will be a force in the middle making bug runs.

A great talker and will lead by example in attack and defence.

Marley Timbrell

Brothers U13

An unassuming player who the opposition underestimates at their own peril. She is a crafty ballplayer with an excellent running game. Marley has made the 5/8 position her own this season with her strong defence and willingness to work.

Coah Gallagher

Brothers U13

Only started playing with Brothers this season and has taken to the game like a duck to water. She isn’t afraid to put her body on the line and makes her presence felt in defence. Coah is improving at training and has made a good first impression so far

Harper Drennert

Brothers U13

A genuine utility player. She is dependable across the park. Whether she’s hitting it up in the front row or slotting into the back line she works hard and won’t let the team down.

Shyla Baker

Brothers U13

With natural ability she is deceivingly quick with great awareness of the game, she has slotted into half back this season with exceptional ball skills and defence. Shyla has great potential and will only get better with experience.

Amalie Kimmince

Southern Suburbs Tigers U13

Coming out of the second row, Amalie plays with her heart on her sleeve and is a vital voice on the field for team communication.

Mackenzie Sutton

Southern Suburbs Tigers U13

In her first year of rugby league Mackenzie is already proving to be a handful out in the centres for the opposition.

Savanah Clark

Southern Suburbs Tigers U13

A front rower with plenty of power when running the ball and is a vital part of the Tigers defence line.

An up and coming dummy half with pin point passing and can do attitude, both at training and on the field.

Ava is quick and decisive, making her a key player in the dummy half position. Her agility and leadership help create opportunities for her team.

Tilly is strong and determined, excelling in both attack and defence. Her resilience and work ethic inspire her teammates.

Kahlari Prince

Southern Suburbs Tigers U15

Kahlari is strategic and creative, with excellent passing and kicking skills. She remains calm under pressure and makes crucial decisions.

Georgie is versatile and hardworking player, known for her physicality and tackling prowess. She consistently supports her teammates and covers ground quickly.

Amelia Steffen

Southern Suburbs Tigers U17

Amelia is a tall, strong front rower who puts in the hard yards and she makes good meters each time she runs, also great in defence.

Caitlin Wiggins

Southern Suburbs Tigers U17

Caitlin is a versatile player that can play multiple positions, her defence is solid and in attack she is fast. Caitlin can put any one through a hole which results in tries.

Ella King

Southern Suburbs Tigers U17

Ella is one tough player who will not back down from any challenge on the field. Ella is also a great communicator on the field and she is always positive and polite.

Maya Wright

Southern Suburbs Tigers U17

Maya is new to the team this year but even at training you know Maya will be bringing some thing special to the field. Maya is a great talker and a brilliant ballplayer.

A dynamic second rower with impressive speed, Katana is rock-solid in defence and never backs down from a challenge. Her grit and determination lift the team in tough moments.

Joyce Litidamu

Valleys Roosters U15

Joyce is our team captain for the 2025 season. She can play numerous positions within our team. Joyce has great leadership skills and is a player who has the ability to change a game.

Daeja is our no. 6 for the season, she also shows great leadership skills and steers the team well around the field with her great vision and footy knowledge.

They say good things come in small packages. Quinnley shows heart and determination every time she runs onto the field. Quinnley is our no. 9 this season she can tackle anything that moves and gives great service out of dummy half.

Mikaela (MK) is fresh off the Harvey Norman U17’s Girls campaign where she played a key role in the girls success. MK is a talented Footballer and excels in the Hooker or Half’s role guiding the team around the park.

Tayla Thomas

Valleys Roosters U17

Tayla is also fresh off the Clydesdales U17’s campaign and ready to roll into the season. Tayla is an explosive Centre or Edge forward. Tayla is a power player in attack and defence and plays the game hard. Tayla is one to watch this season.
