TENNIS: Saturday afternoon's storm bought a halt to play but the 2018 Hutchinson Builders Toowoomba International remains on schedule.

Tournament director Emma Creighton said all bar three of Saturday's round one men's matches were played before the storm.

"We're lucky it didn't rain until late in the afternoon,” she said.

"We got most of the round matches completed and a few of the round two games finished before the rain stopped play.”

Two rounds of women's qualifying will take place today from 10am before the final round of men's matches take place.

Creighton said it was a good weekend for the seeded players with no major upsets recorded.

"It was a good weekend of tennis for everyone,” she said.

"All the seeds are still there and it should be a good week.”
