Chasing their third win of the season and eager to put on a show during Harvey Norman’s Women in League Round, the Western Clydesdales know they have a difficult task at hand.

Squaring up to sixth placed Central Queensland Capras, the Clydesdales are hoping a more familiar backline will fire; akin to the first handful of games this season.

Ex-Capras player and current Clydesdales centre Bessie Toomaga is stoked to have the gang back together.

“We finally have both Lino (Melino Fineanganofo) and Mitch (Mitchell Watson) back,” Toomaga said.

“They’ve both been out for a while now and are big ins for us.”

The centre, who made his Hostplus Cup debut for the Capras in 2019, said his side has missed the explosive power of his two partners in crime.

“We’ve definitely missed both of the boys over the past few rounds,” he said.

“Not only are they great finishers but they also make heaps of runs out of trouble and break the line, setting up and helping out our forwards.”

Toomaga said his side are up for the challenge and while they still don’t have the wins of the board, they have been in and around the contest for the majority of the games.

The centre is keen to cause an upset in front of the team’s faithful and loyal fans this Saturday 29, July at 5pm.
