FOOTBALL: He's only 21 but Wade Hall could be considered a SWQ Thunder veteran in tomorrow's game.
With Thunder coach Thiago Kosloski tipped to bring in a number of young players for the side's FFA Cup game, Hall will need to draw on his game experience.
"It's great to see so much young talent coming through the ranks,” Hall said.
"We have guys like Luke Lister, Fletcher McDonald and Keanu Tuart in the senior team now, and we have a lot of talented players in the under-20s as well.
"Thiago said he might make some changes for the cup game - bring in some under-20s - and I think those guys will be really keen to stake a claim.”
The Thunder will play host to FQPL outfit Wolves FC in the FFA Cup.
Wolves, who are seventh in the NPLQ feeder division, will be an unknown quantity for the Thunder.
"We don't know a lot about them,” Hall said.
"We've prepared just like we do for every game though - we have to focus on our performance.”
And the keys to producing a good performance are very simple, according to Hall.
"We have to play well as a team and limit our own mistakes,” Hall said.
"We lost to (NPLQ ladder leaders) Peninsula Power last week, but our performance wasn't that bad.
"I think we made a few basic mistakes and that cost us because they scored off those mistakes.
"Against Wolves we need to make sure we don't make those mistakes, pass the ball well, keep possession and play as a team.
"Thiago is making a big difference at the club and we need to keep working hard to get the results we want.”
The Thunder play Wolves at Highfields tomorrow. Kick-off is 3pm.
