RUGBY SEVENS: The future of Australian women's rugby sevens looks bright in the hands of players like Holly Anlezark and Chloe Cocks.
The talented Toowoomba duo returned home France victorious recently after winning the rugby sevens section of the Paris World Games.
The University Saints and West Bulldogs duo featured in the Tribe representative team that went through the tournament undefeated.
"We were not expecting to win the tournament,” Anlezark said.
"We just wanted to go over there and enjoy the experience, play as a team and have some fun.
"To go through unbeaten - playing teams from France, Canada, Fiji and Hong Kong was amazing.”
Anlezark said team unity and some old fashioned hard work were the key factors to their success which included a 52-0 win in the final.
"We really wanted to focus on our team work,” she said.
"Before, during and after the games we talked a lot.
"We were encouraging each other and talking about what we needed to do as a team.
"Everyone had a job to do and we all did it.
"The first game was pretty tough but once we adjusted and started spreading the ball a bit it was good.
"It was a challenge playing all the different teams.
"For some of them (their opposition) rugby sevens is only new. They bought out their bigger, stronger players but I think we did really well against them.”
Returning home to Toowoomba after her team's victory Anlezark said she is focused on her Australian representative dreams more than ever.
"Coming back from Paris I know I can do it now.
"I know that if I work hard that anything is possible.”
Tribe Rugby is a Brisbane competition. Cocks and Anlezark play in the competition after the Toowoomba season.
