BASEBALL : Toowoomba Rangers face the prospect of a soggy road trip tomorrow as they look to maintain their GBL Division 4 season momentum.

Rangers are scheduled to meet Beenleigh Hawks on the Hawks’ home ground.

Forecast inclement weather hangs over all southeast Queensland sport events this weekend.

But Rangers will be anxious to take the field against the Hawks in an effort to gain maximum points as they continue towards an unlikely but still possible minor premiership win.

Second-placed Rangers have leaders Wests Bulldogs on their radar and continued their finals’ push last weekend with a 15-5 win over Narangba Demons.

Beenleigh has notched only four season wins and on paper, Rangers are expected to snare maximum game points.

Wests are scheduled to play mid-table-placed Pine Hills Lighting at home tomorrow.

Rangers return to Commonwealth Oval next Sunday when they host Redcliffe Padres White.
