BASEBALL : Toowoomba Rangers' aim to build competition momentum gathered steam on Sunday when they overran Narangba Demons 16-1 in their GBL Division 4 clash.
The win moves Rangers into the premiership top four and has given league rivals a reminder of their potential strike power.
Coach Luke Ardill said Rangers' only season loss to Wests in round two of the competition has helped steel Rangers for their push towards the number-one spot.
"We swung the bat well on Sunday and everyone got a hit," Ardill said.
"Everyone has started to step up since the Wests loss which really helped wake us up.
"We were all reminded that if we're not at our best every week we will pay the penalty."
Rangers return home to Commonwealth Oval on Sunday to face Carina Redsox Red from 11.45am.
