A new ‘franchise’ touch football competition is set to pit the best players South East Queensland has to offer against each other.

The Hillmans Transport Elite Mixed Competition features 10 teams with six sides lining up in the elite division and the remaining four in elite masters.

With 100s of players nominating for the draft, team owners had the opportunity to build elite 14-player squads.

Some of the talent drafted includes players with state and national representative honours and a few NRLW stars.

Ahead of the Elite Mixed competition kicking off this Sunday we’ve identified the star players to watch in all six teams.

KMP Hornets

Georgina Rackemann: A Queensland and Australian level representative player who first picked up the game in her hometown of Chinchilla. Heavily involved at the grassroots, school and representative level, Rackemann is the perfect captain to bring a new team together.

Lachlan Peirce: An outstanding junior who has seamlessly made the transition into the senior ranks. He has been a force to be reckoned with for a number of years and his Queensland and Australian level experience will be invaluable.

Riley Madden: The Madden family and touch football go hand-in-hand. One of several brothers who all love the game, Riley was selected in the Australian youth program last year. Riley lives and breathes football as a QLD Touch Football development officer.

The Fit Lab Mavs

Bailey Deakin: One of Toowoomba touch’s most promising talents, Deakin will captain the Mavs this season. A gifted player who leads by example and will be keen to win.

Shenae Ciesiolka: The Australian touch and rugby league rep is arguably one of the biggest inclusions in the competition. The NRLW Brisbane Broncos star is a fast and dominant runner with a great passing game.

Jake Notley: An exciting player with speed to burn and the ability to create something out of nothing. Jake has bags of potential and there’s a good chance he will emulate the career of his dad Scott who is an Australian Touch Hall of Famer.

SWISH Spurs

Blaise Prendergast: The reigning Toowoomba Touch Association men’s player of the year will captain the side. The 18-year-old state and national star will no doubt be eager to prove he can match it with the best of the best in this competition.

Tom Quinlivan: The Brisbane boy has been a standout in Toowoomba competitions for more than a decade. Expect the seasoned veteran to be one of the competition’s top try scorers.

Zoe Waters: The Australian youth squad member is the ultimate team player. Waters puts her speed to great use – linking up with her teammates in support and being around experienced stars will only help to lift her game.

EPSS Earthmoving Knights

Sam Carmody: One of Toowoomba touch’s elite stars over the past 10 years, Carmody’s addition makes the Knights a real contender. Carmondy has a great football mind, running, passing and defensive game.

Carla Nobbs: The Dalby junior and Queensland U15 School rep is a bright and promising young talent who will benefit greatly from this opportunity.

Hayden and Ryan Moffatt: The Brisbane brothers are a dangerous 1-2 combo. The rep stars bring big game experience and intensity.

Southern Energy Services Rockets

Emily Ward: A natural leader any time she steps onto the field, Ward will be keen to carry her Roosters premiership winning form into this competition. The Aussie U20 star is a two-way player with great all-round skills in attack and defence.

Jay Scofield: The 2022 Junior State Cup Scot Notely award winner is a star on the rise. Another young gun who will be eager to impress after a great local season.

Spring Early Education Suns

Ben and Matt Moore: Another brotherly duo who play an exciting brand of football. The Aussie reps are a great combo with their eyes on the big prize and the ability to get the job done.

Issy Reed: The QLD and Aussie rep has speed to burn. A Toowoomba Twisters star who will slot right into the team and will be key to their hopes of winning the title.

Tess Notley: Tess will be keen to impress against older brother Jake and in the competition as a whole. A player with great speed and the ability to change direction with ease, Tess will be a threat on sweep plays.
