The Super Netball reserves competition is back for a second year, showcasing the best emerging talent across the country.
After a pilot program in 2024, the competition will have every Super Netball club involved in 2025.
An eighth Super Netball affiliated team has been added this year with Melbourne Mavericks joining the competition.
Some former Super Netball stars and a host of training partners and top state league talent trying to break their way into Super Netball will feature in the reserves competition this year.
Here is everything you need to know and all the team lists ahead of the 2025 season.
WHAT IS IT
The Super Netball Reserves was developed to provide a development pathway and extra match play for emerging national talent. The competition features athletes who are on the cusp of Super Netball, including training partners and state league players.
THE TEAMS
Adelaide Thunderbirds Futures, Giants Netball Reserves, Mavs Reserves, NSW Swifts Reserves, Queensland Firebirds Futures, Sunshine Coast Lightning Bolts, Vixens Academy, West Coast Fever Reserves.
The eight teams will play each other once across a seven-week season.
The Territory Storm, Capital Darters, Tasmania Wild will take part in a ‘Play-In Tournament’ in the week leading into the finals weekend.
WHAT’S NEW
Alongside the Mavericks’ inclusion, this year’s competition will feature a bolstered finals weekend and ‘Play-In’ Tournament in a week of netball action at Waverley Netball Centre in June.
WHEN IS IT ON
The Super Netball Reserves runs alongside Round 4 to Round 10 of the Super Netball league, starting on Saturday May 3.
The Play-In Tournament will be held from June 16-18 and the Super Netball Reserves finals will follow for three days from June 20 with the grand final on June 22.
