Meet every player set to star for the Darling Dingoes junior sides in 2024

The Century Cricket season is just around the corner so what better time to check out our profiles of the 75+ juniors who will play for the Darling Dingoes in 2024.

The 2024 Darling Dingoes junior cricket campaign is just around the corner, with some of Queensland’s best young cricketers set to battle it out over the September school holidays.

The Dingoes have fielded six sides this year from under-12 right up to under-18 with players looking to make their mark ahead of an action-packed summer of cricket.

Check out all the players set to line up for the Dingoes below.

Under-12

Lachlan Tucker

Tucker returns to the Dingoes under-12 side after a solid debut campaign in 2023.

In five innings, he scored 63 runs at an average of 31.5 and also chipped in with one wicket as well.

William Butchart

Butchart is an aggressive top-order batter who can lay down the foundations for his side early in a contest.

The University of Queensland Cricket Club and Brisbane Boys College junior is also a handy off-spinner who can break a game open.

Sam Costello

Costello is an exciting all-rounder who joins the Dingoes from the Cassowary Coast.

The left-handed batter makes his mark at the top of the order and with the ball, he is a tricky left-arm finger spinner who excels at tying opposing batters down for extended periods.

Costello has shown he is not afraid of the big games as he took the most wickets at the under-12 representative carnival held in Townsville where he finished with 23 scalps.

Harry Davies

Davies is a powerful striker of the ball and if the bowlers give him any room, he will punish them.

He is a handy medium pacer who creates plenty of swing and also recently toured Sri Lanka.

Will Dewar

A Souths Magpies junior, Dewar is a consistent team performer who contributes with bat and ball and has an impressive technique which is set to lay down the foundations for development for years to come.

Myles Ehrlich

An all-round quality player who can make his impact felt in almost every facet of the game.

Ehrlich is a right arm pace bowler and middle order batter who can also step in if needed as a wicketkeeper.

He is also a Darling Downs and South West Queensland and Darling Downs Sport rep player.

Xavier Fox

The Met-Easts junior is an exciting all-rounder who already has a solid cricketing resume.

He has captained and batted up the order in rep cricket and with the ball, he creates natural swing away from the right-handed batters.

Fox brings Ian Healy Cup and QSS Championships experience to the squad.

Orson Mann

Mann is an opening batter who currently plays for Bullimba Cricket Club and St Joseph’s Gregory Terrace.

He is a great team player who thrives under pressure and loves to face the first ball of the innings.

Gurman Randhawa

Randhawa is a right-arm pace bowling all-rounder who also bats in the middle order.

He brings Ian Healy Cup experience and enters this campaign off the back of a stellar 2023-24 season where he scored 475 runs and took 26 wickets.

Hugo Seaby

The Met-Easts and Toowoomba Grammar School young gun is a versatile all-rounder who can bat almost anywhere in the order.

Seaby’s ability to consistently rotate the strike and not allow opposing bowlers to find a rhythm has been a key feature in his versatility with the bat.

Aadit Sharma

Sharma is a left-handed top-order batter with an excellent technique.

The Ipswich Grammar School student is an aggressive striker of the ball who also has a solid defensive technique.

With the ball, he is a developing pace bowler with an impressive action.

Callum Spies

Spies is a stylish top order batter who doubles as an impressive wicketkeeper.

The Northern Brothers Diggers junior has impressed in the local Toowoomba cricket competition and recently made the under-12s Darling Downs Schoolboys team and the Darling Downs and South West Queensland squad.

Harrison Sullisz

This Kenmore Cricket Club gun is an exciting addition to the under-12 line-up and is sure to make his mark with bat and ball.

With the bat, he operates at a high strike-rate and with the ball, he is a frontline leg-spinner who already has some variations in his arsenal, including the wrong-un.

Under-13

Jaiveer Ballaggan

Ballaggan returns to the Dingoes in 2024 after an impressive 2023 competition in under-12s.

He was one of their most impressive all-rounders last year as he took six wickets at an average of 17.17 and scored 67 runs at 16.75.

Ben Williams-Peters

Williams-Peters is another player retained in this year’s draft and showed glimpses of what he is capable of last year when he scored an unbeaten 26 against the Pirates.

Joshua Lemke

Lemke impressed with bat and ball for the Dingoes last year and will look to take his game to the next level this season.

In last year’s competition, he took three wickets and scored 35 runs at an average of 17.5.

Adam Langmack

Langmack is an economical bowler who can frustrate opposing batters.

Playing for the under-12 Dingoes in 2023, he took five wickets at an average of 24.4 and an economy rate of 5.9.

He has also shown promise with the bat, with scores of 17 and 21 during last years comp.

Sohind Rauke

An opening batter and spin bowler who starred for the Darling Dingoes last year.

He ended the competition with 167 runs at 41.75 including a sensational unbeaten century off just 44 balls.

With the ball, he was the Dingoes’ leading wicket-taker in under-12s, finishing with 10 scalps at an average of 11.7.

Cooper Roughhead

An exciting young gun who showed his potential with bat as he scored 20 or more runs in two of his four innings last year.

Finlay Lockwood

A St George boy who has shown promise with bat and ball and is hard to stop once he gets on a roll.

He was a key player for Toowoomba Grammar School’s 7A side last year and across rep games and GPS clashes, scored 367 runs at an average of 24.47 last year.

With the ball, he took 14 wickets at 21.64.

Aston Burns

A right-arm swing bowler who can make his mark felt with the bat in the middle order.

Burns was a star for the Eastern Bulls in the Melbourne Century Cricket competition where he finished as the equal-leading wicket-taker for the league.

Jay Dias

The Surfers Paradise and TSS young gun is a talented leg-spinner and who likes to open the innings and build a solid foundation for the rest of his team.

Dias is a consistent operator and can be relied upon to fill any role needed.

Rishav Patel

Patel is a top order batter who has thrived at rep level for Metropolitan South West and with Ipswich Grammar School.

Hudson Richards

Richards is a right arm swing bowler who causes havoc with the new ball and adds handy runs lower down the order.

He has captained the Metropolitan South West Ian Healy Cup side led the carnival with 12 wickets at an average of 5.76.

Mason Stubbs

Stubbs is a top-order batter and wicket keeper who also played for MSW at the Ian Healy Cup.

When he gets his eye in, he is hard to stop and can score runs at a rapid rate.

Eamon Zutt

A hardworking wicketkeeper who can make an impact with the bat anywhere in the order.

The Maroochydore Cricket Club gun has an incredible workrate and willingness to continually develop as a cricketer.

Under-14

Tom Lansdown

Lansdown is a wicketkeeper and rock solid batter who was retained in this year’s draft by the Dingoes.

In the 2023 campaign, he scored 79 runs at an average of 26.33.

Julian Wall

Wall impressed with the bat for the under-13s last year and is locked and loaded for a big 2024 campaign.

During the 2023 comp, he scored 118 runs at 19.67 with a top score of 45 from just 28 balls.

Wall’s powerful presence at the crease was most evident by his mind-blowing strike-rate of 176.12 for the tournament.

Daniel McDonald

What a retention McDonald is for the Dingoes.

He scored the second most runs in the under-13 tournament last year with 229 runs at a stellar average of 38.17 and barnstorming strike-rate of 141.36.

McDinald’s incredible campaign was highlighted by scores of 47* and 67 - both off 36 balls.

Ethan Wright

Wright is another talented bat who has been retained after an impressive under-13 tournament.

In 2023, he scored 168 runs for the Dingoes at an average of 28 and strike-rate of 146.

Robert Murree

Murree is an electric bowler who spearheaded the Dingoes’ attack last season with 13 wickets at 12.38.

He finished the competition as the equal leading wicket-taker alongside Aamay Wadhani.

Helika Fernando

Fernando is an exciting all-rounder who can change the game in an instant.

The booming batter and crafty leg-spinner scored 141 runs at 35.25 in last year’s tournament and claimed six scalps at an average of 13.17.

Iskcon Gyawali

Gyawali is a tall off-spinner who can also make his mark with the bat.

He picked up eight wickets at 17.75 last year and boasted an impressive economy rate of just 5.36 runs per over.

With the bat, he scored 56 runs at an average of 28,

Aiden Broomfield

Broomfield is a Sunshine Coast representative who is a weapon as a top-order batter.

Throughout the 2024 winter season, he has been in Bradman-esque form, scoring an amazing 911 runs at an average of 101.22.

Aahan Chandorikar

A UQ and Ipswich Grammar School product who is an impressive batting all-rounder.

Chandorikar can bat anywhere in the top six and is a handy finger spinner as well.

Anuk Kottegoda

Kottegoda is an exciting young talent who represented the Queensland Schoolboy team at under-12 level and was a member of the under-13s QJC premiership side in 2023.

He played for the Power in last year’s Century Cricket competition, scoring 157 runs at 26.17 including a blistering 60 off 46 balls against the Dingoes.

Myles Massey

Massey is a right arm opening swing bowler, who bats in the middle order and is a strong fielder.

He represented the Gold Coast at under-13 QJC level and is a Surfers Paradise Cricket Club and TSS young gun.

This winter season, he has taken seven scalps at 10.86 and scored 126 runs at 25.2.

Max McKee

A strong all-rounder who bowls leg spin and can score quick runs at the top of the order.

In the 2023 Century Cricket competition, he scored 141 runs and took six wickets.

Ethan Rebetzke

A left handed top order batter and an impressive right arm off-spinner.

Rebetzke has represented Metropolitan South West and is one of several rising stars with Western Districts.

Under-15

Cooper Brown

One of the veterans within the Darling Dingoes set-up, Brown is headed into his fourth season with the franchise.

He is an impressive top-order batter who is sure to make his mark again in 2024.

Leo Alexander

Another player returning for a fourth season with the Dingoes, Alexander is an attacking batter who bowls handy off-spin.

In last year’s competition, he scored 57 runs at a strike rate of 150 and took a team-high nine wickets at an average of 14.33.

Dom Seaby

One of the most talented all-rounders in the tournament, Seaby is equally as effective as an opening batter and an opening bowler.

He scored 192 runs last year at an average of 27.43 and strike rate of 150, while also taking seven wickets at 12.43.

Tom Yeo

A talented fast bowler who is incredibly accurate and has an impressive bowling action.

He picked up five scalps last season and will look to do further damage in his third campaign with the Dingoes.

Carter Llewellyn

Llewellyn has been a mainstay in the Dingoes bowling order and claimed eight wickets at an average of 16.

Jonas Brazier

Brazier brings the energy for the Dingoes and is and has the ability to explode at any given time.

He scored 107 runs at an average of 15.29 last season.

Parker Cunneen

Cunnenn is a left arm spinner who takes wickets for fun and brings plenty of energy in the field.

The Southport School, Burleigh Cricket Club and Gold Coast state team took eight wickets for the Marlins last season at an average of 9.88.

George Diprose

Diprose is a handy all-rounder who can score quick runs in the top six and bowl the crucial middle overs of an innings.

He makes his return to the Dingoes after playing for them at under-13 level where he showed he had what it takes to add handy runs in the second half of an innings.

Samuel Hayes

An attacking batter who can score runs at rapid pace while still playing tradition cricket shots.

He has experience playing at an elite level and will be one to watch in 2024.

Yumeth Hewa Walgamage

A right arm off spinner and middle order batter who has been tearing it up on the Sunshine Coast.

Noah Langham

An impressive wicketkeeper and batter from Springvale South who will be an exciting addition to the Dingoes roster.

He brings unique experience as he played in England at the age of 13 on turf pitches, playing in various age levels from under-13s all the way up to seniors.

Jack Penfold

The St George junior bleeds Dingoes colours and is a top order batter and left handed pace bowler.

He has also represented the DDSWQ rep team.

Under-16

Cooper Keogh

The under-16 team is stacked with up-and-coming talent and Keogh is no exception.

He is currently playing grade cricket in Brisbane and was a star in last year’s tournament.

In seven innings he scored 308 runs at an amazing average of 77 and strike rate of 190.12.

Keogh produced one of the best performances seen in a Dingoes jersey as he scored 137 runs off just 62 balls in a game last year.

On top of this, he was also the leading wicket-taker for the Dingoes with 12 scalps at an average of 10.75.

Rylan McDonald

A talented all-rounder who brings nothing but heart every time he walks out to the middle.

He scored 317 runs at an average of 28.82 in all competitions last summer and claimed 29 scalps at 19.41.

Joshua Midanowicz

A talented batter who was a key figure in the Dingoes’ elite batting line-up last year.

In five innings he scored 136 runs at an average of 45.33 and a top score of 50.

Fraser Judd

Wherever Judd goes, he scores runs for fun and the Dingoes was no exception last year as he announced himself as a batter to watch for years to come.

In seven innings he scored 220 runs at an average of 44, including an unbeaten century off 58 balls against the Waveriders.

Despite his young age, he has already scored multiple centuries at various levels.

Gitarth Gupta

A handy all-rounder who will be vital in the Dingoes’ quest for glory this year.

He scored 67 runs and claimed six wickets in last season’s competition.

Aadi Patel

Patel is an explosive talent player who is capable of hitting mammoth sixes and bowling at scorching pace.

With the bat, he scored 160 runs at an average of 40 and strike-rate of 222.22 in last year’s tournament, as he scored 35 runs or more in three of his five innings.

Billy Connellan

Conellan is a crafty off-spinner whose ability to tie down opposing batters is a joy to behold.

He took seven wickets at an average of 21.86 last year.

Cameron Dennis

The Western Districts Toowoomba young gun is an impressive fast bowler who can score handy lower order runs.

He took 18 wickets in all competitions last year at an average of 27.33.

Param Singh

A Metropolitan-Easts and TGS young gun who has a knack of picking up vital wickets when his side needs it the most.

Max Lazzarini

A right arm swing bowler who is rising through the ranks at Nudgee College.

Joshua Claude Millard

An all-rounder who opens the bowling with his right arm pace and holds the fort in the middle order with the bat.

He averaged 24.71 with the bat in all competitions last summer and took 42 scalps at 14.45.

Lachlan Ottobrino

Another exciting young gun on the Darling Downs who has great potential.

Despite his age, he featured in both B and reserve grade for Western Districts in the TCI competition last year and scored more than 300 runs across all competitions.

Max Stuart

Stuart featured for the Dingoes last year and is a right-hand batter who runs hard and is also a gun fielder.

Under-18

Toby Lamond

Lamond is a top-order batter who bowls part-time spin and recently returned from winning the Australian under-18 Indoor title for Queensland.

Jordan Mather

A talented batter who is dangerous once he gets his eye in.

Astin Riley

Riley returns to the Dingoes under-18 side again this year and was one of the breakout stars of the Toowoomba A-grade competition last year.

He claimed six wickets for the Dingoes at 18.67 and took 29 wickets in all other competitions at 25.38.

Sam Gillespie

A top order batter who bowls handy leg spin and is also making his mark for Uni in Toowoomba.

He showed that once he gets a start, he is difficult to stop in the Lord Taverners under-17 competition last year, as he recorded impressive scores of 44 and 60 for DDSWQ.

Josh Cranston

Heading into his fourth campaign as a Dingo, Cranston is another gun who is featuring at the top level in Toowoomba.

He led the way for the under-16 Dingoes last season, scoring 237 runs at an average of 47.4, which included two unbeaten half centuries.

Jackson Fearby

A right arm leg spinning all-rounder who brings Lord Taverners experience.

Fearby brings several years of elite level cricketing experience and has a strong mindset, not allowing anything to dampen his attitude.

Jackson Haynes

A right arm medium all-rounder who bowls the middle and death overs of a clash.

He claimed eight scalps for the Dingoes last year at an average of 20.75 and scored 62 runs at an average of 15.5.

Ayaan Khan

Khan is an all-rounder who bowls right arm pace and bats in the middle order.

He brings Lord Taverners, and first grade experience which will be invaluable for the side.

Josh Ritchie

A right handed top-order batter who took the under-16 competition by storm last season, scoring 253 runs at an average of 36.14 with the Waveriders.

He scored two 50s during the campaign with his best an 86 off 50 balls against the Pirates.

Drew Stafford

A right handed top order batter who prides himself on his versatility in the field and with the bat.

The Forrest Hill Goats young gun brings Lord Taverners experience and will be a key addition at the top of the order this year.

Kazuma Stafford

A left arm pace bowling all-rounder who is an exciting weapon.

He has played 10 T20 Internationals for Japan with best figures of 5-7 coming against Mongolia earlier this year.

Jed Turner

An aggressive opening batter who was a standout batter in the 2022 Bulls Masters competition.

The Marburg Thunder and Ipswich Grammar School gun will be one to watch over the next few years as he makes the leap into senior cricket.

Cooper Vanderbyl

An opening pace bowler who adds handy runs in the middle order.

He brings Century Cricket experience with the Moreton Magic and Coastal Marlins
