Belconnen sent out a message to the rest of the league with a dominant 14.10 (94) to 5.13 (43) victory over Queanbeyan.
Coming into the contest with just two wins for the year, the Magpies were on from the opening bounce against the second-placed Tigers.
They made the visitors pay for wayward kicking, with Thomas Simpson’s four goals leading them along.
Ainslie moved into a share of second after downing Tuggernanong Valley 20.14 (134) to 4.6 (30).
Incredibly they had 13 individual goalscorers throughout the match as they moved alongside the Tigers on the ladder.
Eastlake is now two wins clear at the top of the table after a comprehensive 14.14 (98) to 2.9 (21) win over Gungahlin.
The Jets were held goalless through the opening three quarters by a clinical Demons side.
Joshua Bruce (five goals) and Ben Lindeman (four) led from the front.

Queanbeyan remained undefeated after prevailing in the match of the round over Belconnen 10.6 (66) to 8.9 (57).
The Magpies held a slender one-point margin coming into the final term, but the Tigers showed their class over the concluding stages to take the win.
Young talent Billie Hamilton took her season tally to 21 goals after booting five.
Eastlake put together one of its most impressive displays of 2025 with an 11.11 (77) to 0.0 (0) defeat of Gungahlin.
Four goals in the opening term set the tempo for a dominant Demons display, with Tanya Tayor starring with four goals.
Nine Tricolours players were able to score a goal as Ainslee climbed into equal second spot on the standings.
Bianca Kaden had three as they came out on top 12.14 (86) to 0.2 (2), with Keely Rock and Becky Groat making their debuts in first grade.

HUME
Osborne made it consecutive 100+ point victories with a commanding 20.16 (136) to 1.0 (6) defeat of Murray.
The Tigers reached 85 at the half, with George Alexander booting home 10 goals.
Holbrook survived an almighty scare at the hands of Brock/Burrum, eventually prevailing 6.11 (47) to 6.10 (46).
In a low-scoring affair, the Brookers trailed by 11 coming into the final term, before kicking the only two goals of the quarter to remain in a share of second.
Ben Fulford led the way with three goals.
CDHBU overcame a slow start to run down Rand-Walbundrie-Walla 11.8 (74) to 9.12 (66).
The Giants led by 27 at the end of the first term, before the Power hit back to lead by one at halftime.
The rest of the contest was a struggle for ascendancy, with Brian Lieschke’s four goals proving the difference.
Howlong dropped the hammer in a big way, smashing Culcairn 18.12 (120) to 7.2 (44).
The Lions were in the contest up until halftime, trailing by just 20, before Howlong pulled clear in the second half with 11 goals.
Connor Clarke had his best outing in front of goal with six majors.
A fourth quarter surge from Lockhart denied Henty a major upset, with the Demons coming out on top 11.13 (79) to 10.4 (64).
Henty led at the end of every change coming into the final term, before Lockhart piled on four goals to escape with the win.
Brad Aylett led the way with six goals.
Jindera edged past Billabong in a low-scoring clash, winning 6.12 (48) to 3.5 (23).

HUNTER CENTRAL COAST
Nelson Bay had to dig deep, but found enough when it counted to score a 12.11 (83) to 11.10 (76) defeat of Cardiff.
The Marlins held a five-point margin coming into the last, and their accuracy proved the difference in the end, outscoring the Hawks 4.1 to 3.5 in the period.
Nine Nelson Bay players scored goals in the win.
Terrigal Avoca turned things around in the second quarter to smash Maitland 17.6 (108) to 8.5 (53).
The Panthers trailed by seven at the end of one, before turning it around to lead by 24 at the main break.
In his first senior outing of the season, Brandon Thomas kicked seven goals.
Warners Bay was in a relentless mood as it raced away with a 25.10 (160) to 6.2 (38) victory over The Entrance Bateau Bay.
They had 15 goals by the time halftime came around, with Zac Munz doubling his season tally with eight goals.
Newcastle City kept its spot at the top of the standings with a 15.11 (101) to 6.5 (41) success against Killarney Vale.
The Blues had the result in their keeping by halftime as Jack Woodhams kicked four goals in the win.

Warners Bay claimed a crucial win after edging out The Entrance Bateau Bay 6.3 (39) to 5.4 (34).
Despite trailing after one, the Bulldogs poked their noses in front and kept that buffer to win its second game of the season.
Star player Amy Pittman had three goals.
Cardiff was in a punishing mood as they swept aside Singleton 18.20 (128) to 0.0 (0).
Madeline Smith turned in her best performance of the season with a six-goal haul.

NORTHERN RIVERINA
Hillston put together a monster score to keep the pressure on top spot, powering past Ungarie 30.26 (206) to 7.9 (51).
The pick of the bunch was an 11-goal third term as a 51-point halftime lead turned into 115 coming into the fourth.
Lachlan Keefe and Tyson Smythe kicked six goals apiece while Sam Fensom had five.
Lake Cargelligo was forced to work to keep its undefeated record intact, getting past Tullibigeal 15.16 (106) to 13.7 (85).
The Tigers led by just nine coming into the final quarter, finding enough in reserve to kick clear of the home side.
Jaden Kelly had five in the win, with Alex Jones also kicking five in defeat.

SAPPHIRE COAST
Merimbula showed little mercy on Pambula-Eden, racing away with a comprehensive 32.13 (205) to 1.4 (10).
Dylan Jordan continued his incredible goalkicking form with 10 goals, with Aidyn Joiner (seven) and Jedd Martyn (five) also chipping in.
Narooma almost caused a minor upset on the road to Bermagui, going down narrowly 15,5 (95) to 14.6 (90).
The two were barely separated by more than two kicks for the entire contest, with Matthew Parsons kicking seven for the Breakers and Ethan Hay slotting five for the Lions.
Pambula proved far too strong for Bega-Tathra, running out comfortable 14.7 (91) to 3.3 (21).
The game didn’t blow out until the fourth quarter, where the Panthers kicked six unanswered goals to run up the score, with Lee James kicking five.

Bermagui put on a clinical display in accounting for Narooma 10.11 (71) to 0.2 (2).
Claire Callaghan and Ava Munckton both led the way with a pair of goals.
Bega-Tathra maintained top spot on percentage after an 11.8 (74) to 2.0 (12) defeat of Pambula.
Cleo Cook kept her place at the top of goal scoring ranks with a six-goal haul.

SOUTH COAST
Northern Districts was at its attacking best, shooting accurate in a 19.9 (123) to 3.8 (26) victory over Bomaderry.
The writing was on the wall at halftime with Norths kicking 12.3 to open up a huge lead, with Angus Tarpey (four goals) and Ciaran Flynn (three) in fine form.
Shellharbour City proved stubborn, but it wasn’t enough to get over the top of Figtree 15.18 (108) to 8.8 (56).
The game was still in the balance coming into the fourth quarter, before a 36-point haul lifted the Kangaroos home, as did three majors from Brandon Lagana.
A third-quarter blitz proved the difference for the Wollongong Lions as they overcame Kiama 10.6 (66) to 4.8 (32).
The margin of four points at the break ballooned out to 32 as the Lions kicked straight, with Angus Brown kicking three.

The Wollongong Bulldogs were able to power away from Bomaderry to the tune of 10.14 (74) to 2.0 (12).
The lead was just 14 at the main break, before their defence clicked into gear and kept Bomaderry scoreless in the second half, with Ava Loughnan kicking three goals.
Wollongong Lions moved into outright third after downing Kiama 8.9 (57) to 2.3 (15).
The Lions were consistent throughout the four quarters, led by three goals from Jayda Elliott.

SYDNEY
UTS picked up its first win of the season and cost South West Sydney a chance to move into fourth after winning 11.6 (72) to 7.18 (60).
The Blues were left to lament poor kicking at goal, with the Bats kicking five goals in the third term to SWS’ five behinds.
Antony Eussen and Joshua Lee had a trio of goals in UTS’ maiden win.
UNSW-ES put together a dominant fourth quarter on its way to an 8.16 (64) to 2.9 (21) win over Inner West.
A boilover was on the cards as the winless Magpies trailed by just 11 coming into the final term, before the Bulldogs eventually found their groove to kick six majors.
Big Kieran Emery continued his good form in front of goal with three.
Pennant Hills maintained pace with the top teams after accounting for St George 14.5 (89) to 5.5 (35).
The Demons lifted in the fourth to kick five unanswered goals to get within a win of fourth place.
AFL Sydney rep player Nicholas Hey was on fire with five goals.
Manly led at every change to stay undefeated after a big 16.15 (111) to 7.10 (52) success over East Coast.
Byron Laws had five goals to take their record to a perfect 6-0.
Despite six goals from Alex Witherden, Sydney University was unable to get past North Shore, who prevailed 15.12 (102) to 12.5 (77).
Matt Buskariol had four goals with Nicholas Pavlou and Max Yeoland chipped in with three to help the Bombers over the line.

Manly Warringah surged past East Coast in a rematch of last year’s grand final, coming out on top 7.7 (49) to 1.2 (8).
After their season opener was postponed, the Wolves went some way to getting revenge for defeat in last year’s decider in keeping the Eagles scoreless in the second half.
Isabella Rudolph and Kate Salmon both scored twice.
UTS sent a statement with a dominant 14.7 (91) to 0.2 (2) hammering of Parramatta at Waverley Oval.
Brianna-Lee Wade made it 11 goals in her last two outings after she kicked six.
St George scored its second victory of 2025 in comprehensive fashion after smashing Pennant Hills 9.7 (61) to 0.1 (1).
Despite just the one goal in the opening term, the Dragons kicked into gear and kicked right away from the Demons.
Jasmine Baily shows she belongs in the premier division after kicking four goals.
North Shore was left to rue a sloppy second and third term as Sydney University scored a 5.4 (34) to 4.4 (28) win.
The Students outscored the Bombers by 24 during that period as they overturned a slow start to remain on top, with a pair of goals to Arabella Price.
