Aussie rules seasons across NSW and the ACT are well underway with hauls of goals dropping left, right and centre.

From the city to the country, forwards are starting to rack up impressive numbers for the season.

Here are the top 16 goalscorers across NSW/ACT as of 21 August.

1. ANDREW SWAN (EWK HAWKS, FARRER, 85 GOALS)

Was able to boot home five in the final game of the regular season against CSU. Hits the paddock in a qualifying final this weekend.

2. BUSTER WARE (BATEMANS BAY, CANB DIV 1, 77 GOALS)

Kicked one against Woden in the qualifying final. Has one more game as they prepare for the grand final and a chance to push past 80.

3. MITCH STEVENS (PENRITH, SYD DIV 2, 74 GOALS)

Went scoreless against Sydney Uni but has responded with a monster fortnight, kicking seven against South West Sydney and four when taking on Randwick to propel him past 70.

Finishing the season with a surge, kicking 12 over the past fortnight including a mammoth haul of 11 against Murray.

7. SIENNA SMITH (SOUTHERN POWER, SYD DIV 2, 62 GOALS)

Just the one goal over the past fortnight has slowed Smith down in wet conditions, but she still remains the clear female superboot in Sydney.

TROY LUFF (UNSW-ES, SYDNEY DIV 5, 62 GOALS)

The 600-game legend and former Sydney Swan is enjoying a stellar season for the Bulldogs in front of goal. After close to a month off, he fired with 11 goals against Sydney Uni.

JOCK CORNELL (TEMORA, FARRER, 62 GOALS)

Has a season best of 10 goals and backed up a five-goal stint against Marrar with another against CSU in the first week of the finals.

10. CAMERON MOORE (SOUTHERN CATS, CANB DIV 2, 58 GOALS)

Nine goals in the first week of the finals against the Woden Blues saw him surge to 58 majors for the season.

NICHOLAS BUCHANAN (COOLAMON, RIVERINA, 58 GOALS)

After a bye round, Buchanan was able to hit the scoreboard with four against Narrandera before going scoreless against Collingullie.

GEORGE ALEXANDER (OSBORNE, HUME, 58 GOALS)

Just two goals in his past two outings against Henty and Lockhart for Alexander after over a month off.

13. HARRY O’CONNOR (AINSLIE, CANBERRA SECOND GRADE, 57 GOALS)

Surged past the 50 mark in style with a bag of 10 goals against the Gungahlin Jets to give him a commanding lead in the division.

CHARLIE KELSALL (TEMORA, FARRER, 57 GOALS)

Booted home two in the final round against Marrar before three against CSU to kick off the finals.

JED ELLIS-CUFF (SINGLETON, HUNTER PLATE, 55 GOALS)

13 goals throughout his last three games sees him onto these rankings for the first time, including eight against Cardiff.

*All stats correct up to 21 August. Players who have played across multiple divisions were only counted for their predominant league.
