2025 Titans Schools League live stream: Watch five grand finals across massive day at Southport

It was a day full of highlights – and one shocking upset – at the Titans Schools League grand finals, with one coach describing his side’s win as ‘resilient’. Watch all the REPLAYS here.

Aquinas College coach Matthew Beaton had nothing but praise for, what he described, as a ‘win full of resilience’ in Monday’s Titans Cup Boys Open Challenge grand final.

Aquinas were terrific in the decider at Southport, coming away with a 12-0 win over an in-form Tweed River.

Coming in off a semi-final win over Trinity College Beenleigh, Beaton was both proud and reflective post-match.

“Just a resilient performance from the boys,” Beaton said.

“We only had three on the bench for the game. We lost three of our starters at a carnival over the school holidays, so a lot of the younger boys showed some great resilience to perform in a high pressure contest.”

While admitting the contest didn’t completely go their way, Beaton was pleased his side played smart and took their opportunities when they presented.

“The first half was a little bit scruffy. We gave away a few penalties and dropped the ball a little bit.

“But once we started to get on a roll we got ourselves in a good position. I think on last tackle, we got tackled inside the five or 10 on five or six occasions late in the first-half and early in the second.

“So while we weren’t putting a heap of score on the board, we were giving up the ball in a position that made it really tough for Tweed to get out of the corner or off their line.

“We’ve said to the boys all year, if you can control the footy, you can control the game and the results will come from that.

“And they were rewarded with the fruits of their labour.”

In other results on Monday, Keebra Park 10s defeated Palm Beach Currumbin 30-10 in the Boys 9/10 Cup.

Marsden State High knocked off Keebra Park 24-6 in the Girls 9/10 Cup, while they also defeated Marymount College in a 34-8 Girls Open Challenge upset.

And in the Boys Open Cup, it was Marymount College that took the spoils 18-6 over Keebra Park 11s.

PREVIEW

Marymount College will have a chance to add to its impressive title record as the Titans Schools League grand finals kick off on Monday.

KommunityTV will exclusively live stream five matches back-to-back on grand final day including the Titans Cup Year 9/10 Boys and Girls deciders, the Titans Challenge Open girls and boys deciders and the Titans Cup Open boys decider.

Marymount will have a shot at a third-straight Titans Cup title after finishing the season unbeaten and powering past Mabel Park in the semi-finals.

It's a Marymount side which features some famed surnames including Basil Coates, the powerhouse younger brother of Melbourne Storm’s Xavier Coates, and Oliver Friend, the son of former Gold Coast veteran Nathan Friend.

But it is a star fullback, Ryder Abell, who has stolen the show this season.

Fresh off his selection in the Confraternity Shield merit team, Abell scored a double and was man of the match in the semi-final.

Marymount will clash with Keebra Park 11s who shocked the Keebra Park 12s in Wednesday’s semi-finals.

Marymount has a shot at the Titans Schools League double with its girls side set to clash with Marsden State High in the Open Girls Challenge grand final.

The Marymount girls have been the form side of the competition, winning all five games in the regular season, and will feature Confraternity Carnival standout Kiara Wright in the front row.

The Titans Challenge boys final will be a cracker with Aquinas College shutting out Trinity College Beenleigh to earn their spot in the grand final.

They will clash with the high-powered Tweed River High who proved too strong for Miami State High.

Tweed River has been unstoppable in the race to the Titans Challenge trophy, and they showed that form in the semi-final with backrower Jesse Whittick inspiring them to a runaway 20-6 win.

Keebra Park will be the favourite to take out the Year 9/10 Girls Titans Cup after they dominated the semi-finals with a 42-6 win over Ipswich State High.

Barnstorming New Zealand front rower Olivia Flikitonga, in her first year in the Keebra Park program, led from the front with a hat trick in the semi-final win.

Keebra Park will clash with a similarly red-hot Marsden State High side who knocked off rivals Mabel Park 32-4.
