RUGBY LEAGUE: In the past 18 months Corey Blades has collected a premiership-winning jersey, along with Toowoomba, Central Division and Queensland Rangers kits as well.

But the South-West Emus jersey he receives on Friday will be up there for the live-wire fullback.

The South-West Emus will be presented with their jerseys at a special function at the Jack Martin Centre on Friday night ahead of Saturday's inaugural TRL All Stars game at Clive Berghofer Stadium.

The South-West Indigenous Team of the Century will also be named at this function to add to the celebration of the contributions made to the game by the indigenous community.

Running out for the Emus will be special for each player and the jersey will be a coveted item for Blades, who already has some sought-after representative jumpers.

"It will be up there. It will be something to be proud of,” he said.

Blades is looking forward to being part of the maiden All Stars game.

"Everyone is getting pretty excited,” he said.

"It's really important. It's just good to play with everyone too.”

The South-West team is made of players from the TRL like Blades, Aaron Hooper and Michael Cochrane along with promising Western Mustangs colts Blake Appo and Wally Pegler.

Nathan Gaulton, who has played Intrust Super Cup with Ipswich, is also part of a strong indigenous squad.
