The race for the eight scrambled tipping competitions in round 20. What does round 21 have in store?

There were upsets everywhere last week with Collingwood falling short in a final-quarter comeback, Port Adelaide suddenly in a slump and the Eagles scoring their second win of the year.

Round 21 kicks off with a classic “eight-point game” between the Bulldogs and Richmond, and several more contests across the weekend will shape the top eight – and the leaderboard in tipping competitions.

Adelaide is trying to keep its season alive against Gold Coast, the Giants and Swans meet in a massive Battle of the Bridge, while the toughest game to pick of the round could be Geelong v Port Adelaide.

The Cats have slipped out of the eight and have a home-ground advantage – but just suffered a shock defeat at GHMBA Stadium against Fremantle. Port Adelaide, meanwhile, suddenly needs to start winning again to lock in a top-two spot and a home qualifying final.
