Gibney was seen at a club training session on Monday.

He is preparing for his third AFL season, after being taken from WAFL club East Perth by West Coast with pick nine in the 2022 draft.

“The West Coast Eagles advise that AFL player Reuben Ginbey has been charged after urinating in public at a music event on Saturday evening and failing to comply with WA Police directions by not giving his personal details,” the club said in a statement on Monday.

“He will appear in court later this month.

“The club has advised the AFL and, as the matter is now before the courts, will make no further comment at this time.”

After a season-ending injury at the back-end of his debut 2023, Ginbey played a full season in 2024. He was named West Coast’s best emerging talent in 2023.
