AFL 2022: Teams and Tips for round 22
A Tigers small forward has found himself out of the side again, while the Bombers have been boosted with some midfield stars. But the axe has fallen on a youngster.

Richmond has dropped Jason Castagna for its clash with Hawthorn on Sunday as the small forward continues to find himself out of favour.
Castagna was kept goalless against Port Adelaide last round after coming off a three-week stint in the VFL and has managed just three senior games since round 11.
Veteran Shane Edwards returns after being managed last week, with midfielder Jack Ross also omitted.
Liam Shiels will play his first full senior game since round 17 as youngsters Sam Butler (omitted) and Connor MacDonald (managed) make way for the Hawks.

Collingwood and Sydney are both unchanged for their ladder-shaping contest at the SCG.
Essendon has made four changes after its disappointing loss to Greater Western Sydney last week, dropping young gun Ben Hobbs and key forward Harrison Jones, while James Stewart and Will Snelling will miss with injury.
The Bombers have bolstered their engine room with Dylan Shiel and Jye Caldwell among the ins, while Port Adelaide’s inclusions of Todd Marshall and Mitch Georgiades will test Ben Rutten’s defence.
Robbie Gray has been managed.
Meanwhile, Carlton coach Michael Voss has swung the midfield axe at the Blues ahead of its crunch clash with reigning premier Melbourne, while caretaker Roos coach Leigh Adams has dropped No.1 pick Jason Horne-Francis.
As lawyers fought the case for captain Patrick Cripps to play across town, Voss elected to omit Will Setterfield, Paddy Dow and Tom De Koning for the must-win Saturday night match against the Demons as the team fights to keep its finals hopes alive.
De Koning has missed just one previous game this year.
SCROLL DOWN FOR THIS WEEK’S TEAMS/EXPERT TIPS
Marc Pittonet will return to take on power ruck Demons duo Max Gawn and Luke Jackson, while Liam Stocker has also been recalled.
Horne-Francis was set to play his first game back in his home state of South Australia when the Kangaroos take on Adelaide, but he has been omitted with Ben McKay, Ben Cunnington and Jackson Archer all back into the side.
Geelong will also welcome back a quartet of stars as it manages key players in the lead-up to September. Brownlow medallist Patrick Dangerfield and midfield counterparts Joel Selwood and Gary Rohan will play against the Gold Coast, alongside Mark Blicavs who will also return, while Luke Dahlhaus has been omitted and Mitch Duncan, Isaac Smith and Mark O’Connor managed.
Western Bulldogs defender Alex Keath has been dropped for the second time in a month as the Dogs prepare to face Greater Western Sydney.
Can flu-hit Pies stop Swans juggernaut?
Collingwood is confident that a flu outbreak won’t disrupt its preparation for Sunday’s crucial SCG clash with Sydney after a handful of key players missed training on Wednesday.
Former Magpie president Eddie McGuire said coach Craig McRae was also told to stay away from the club as a precaution, potentially until Friday.
McGuire said on Channel 9 that the illnesses were not Covid-related and all had returned negative tests.
Magpie matchwinner Jamie Elliott, who signed a new three-year deal with the club this week, was one of the key players who had been affected.
Will Hoskin-Elliott was also missing from training, while housemates Josh Carmichael, Beau McCreery and Isaac Chugg were also away from the club on Wednesday due to the flu.
Hoskin-Elliott was already in doubt for the clash with the Swans - with a possible 12th successive victory potentially locking in a top four finish - after being subbed out of last week’s win over the reigning premiers Melbourne with a hip flexor issue.
The Magpies are hopeful the fact this week’s game is on Sunday will prove the players with more time to recover and potentially take on the Swans.
They face Sydney and Carlton in the final two weeks of the AFL season to try and lock in a double chance come finals time.
