A large three-storey Toowoomba CBD property is already attracting interest after it hit the market through an expressions of interest campaign.

Ray White Commercial has listed the McConachie Stedman building on Ruthven St for sale.

The 1700sq m site has been the home of the Toowoomba accountancy firm for many years, and lead agent Craig Bradley said the business still had several lease options in its favour.

“It’s got three main floor levels with a loft converted to office space,” he said.

“It used to be parking in the basement and they have converted it to training and storage.

“It’s on two lots and has 25 car parks, which is a nice change for the CBD.

“McConachie Stedman has still got two five-year options – they’ve been long-term tenants at the site.”

Mr Bradley said the early interest had been strong, owing to the lack of quality tenanted properties on the market.

“There’s a lack of that stock in the market place, whether it’s commercial or industrial,” he said.

The property, owned by a local family, was last sold in 2008 for a seven-figure sum.

The expressions of interest campaign ends on February 2, 2023.
