One of Australia’s largest banks is believed to have been involved in the sale of two properties in the Toowoomba CBD for a combined $2.5m.
National Australia Bank is understood to have purchased the two properties through Colliers International, which front on to Ruthven and Little Streets respectively, not far from City Hall.
Both sites were sold on the same day, according to details available on RP Data, however the buyer remains anonymous at this point.
The two properties, which have a combined size of nearly 1000 sqm, have been used for a variety of businesses over the years.
“Located in the centre of the Toowoomba CBD directly opposite The Oaks Hotel and surrounded by a host of retailers, professional offices and food providers, 507 Ruthven Street is looking for a new owner,” the online listing said.
NAB declined to comment on the matter, but did not deny a transaction had occurred.
Colliers International managing director Dan Dwan confirmed the sites had been sold but did not comment further on it, citing confidentiality.
NAB currently has two branches in Toowoomba, including one already in the CBD and another at Clifford Gardens.
